Dr. Leigh has over fifteen years of clinical experience in institutional and community settings. She works with diverse populations experiencing a wide range of behavioral health challenges. Early on in her career she found a particular passion for working with people experiencing substance use disorders and continues to be dedicated to serving this population, their families, and their communities.
This includes making the policy changes required to end tragedies like the opioid crisis and to prevent the next one. Her doctorate focused on the political determinants of the opioid crisis and how to teach social workers to identify and intervene them.

She is a member of the provider circle at Vot-ER whose mission is to bring voter registration to healthcare.
